We believe everyone should enjoy the benefits of a healthy, beautiful smile! Our team also loves to give back to our community at the same time! Dr. Cooper and Dr. Nebeker and the rest of our team have multiple programs that benefit others.
Refer a Friend. Help a Charity.
Send a friend or family member to Smiles Dental for great-quality dental care, and we’ll return the favor. For every referred patient that completes an appointment with us, Smiles Dental will donate $10 to Alzheimer’s Network. We love our current patients, new patients and helping our community. That’s the Smiles Dental way! If you would like to learn more about Alzheimer’s Network, visit their website!
Opt to Adopt
Smiles Dental is excited to announce our partnership with the Marion County Dog Shelter to help dogs in our community find good and loving homes. Each week we highlight a dog on our Facebook page that is currently up for adoption. The shelter is doing some great work on behalf of these 4 legged members of our county. If you do not see a dog that steals your heart, then please visit the Dog Shelter website to see other wonderful animals in need of a good home. Thanks for your support!
Gift of Smiles
Gift of Smiles is a free dental day held at our office to provide dental care to those who other wise are not able to regularly afford or receive such care. Participants are asked to schedule their appointments the day before the event, starting at 8:00 a.m. All appointments will be scheduled in one-hour increments on a first come, first serve basis. During the appointment, patients have the opportunity to receive either a cleaning or restorative dental work. Restorative work covers fillings, extractions, or anything that can be done in one hour that does not require labs.
Last year our Smiles Dental locations combined, donated nearly $130,000 in free dental services and served over 300 patients. The company has given over $710,000 during Gift of Smiles since its inception.
Smiles for Veterans
Smiles Dental is honoring our veterans with the gift of good health during the month of November. The dental practice invites community members in location to nominate a veteran to receive up to $3000 toward their dental treatment plan.
Our nomination period for Smiles for Veterans 2016 is now closed. Thank you to all who submitted nominations!
According to the United States Department of Veteran Affairs , as of September 30, 2015 there were 326,000 veterans in Oregon. Of these, approximately 100,962 unique patients received healthcare at a VA health care facility. The Center for Disease Control shows the number of American adults in 2014, ages 18-64, with a dental visit in the past year was approximately 62%. The same study by the CDC shows around 20% of American adults have no usual source of healthcare and that 11% did not receive needed dental care due to cost.
